Playdate – Missy & Kenny Part 2

We had another playdate with Missy Rascal Racoon and Kenny Coatimundi from JungleTrex. Although they are from opposite ends of America they both have so much in common. They are starting to tolerate each other a lot more and its only a matter of time before they are rolling around playing (instead of pulling their owners through bushes on a mad escapade). Luckily the weather was a lot better and we had a lot of people come up and ask about them.

Playdate – Missy & Kenny

I was invited along on a playdate with Missy Rascal Racoon and Kenny Coatimundi from JungleTrex. Both of these animals are absolutly gorgeous (and quite a handfull). Whether its climbing trees, scampering about through the wet leaves or perched on someones shoulders, they both seemed very happy and loved the rain. Pity we didn’t like the wet soggy morning as much as they did. Roll on summer!!

Manchester Reptile Club – 27th November 2011

Tonight we had a bit of a treat, we had a visit from Steve Parker and partner from the South Lancashire Bat Conservation Group. He did a small talk on bats and their efforts to stop the decline of these gorgeous animals, afterwards we got to see some of them in the flesh.  We also had a great raffle with prizes kindly donated by Stockport Pet Warehouse and Paradise Pets. Thanks goes out for these. As well as a lot of new faces other highlights of the night include Rachel trying to walk with Oby wrapped round her leg and Sues snake deciding to go into full shed near the end of the night.

Nick Reeve – Assassins Creed costume

My good friend Nick Reeve was recently asked to do a promotion for the new game Assassins Creed. Nicks wife is an amazing costume designer and has made him an outfit of the main character Ezio. Since doing this promotion Nick has been contacted by the game software representetive and asked to do more work for them. His next appearance will be at the Game store in Manchester Arndale this coming Saturday (19/11/2011).

Crestie eating

Last night I was feeding my 2 Crested Geckos and as I placed their dishes into their terrariums one of them rushed out and started eating straight away (greedy bugger). I already had my macro lens on the camera so I thought I’d have a play at some close up shots.

Manchester Reptile Club – 30/10/2011

October 30th saw everyone (well most people) dressing up for Halloween. There were 3 different competitions, best fancy dress, best creepy photo & best creepy pet. A small buffet was also organised. All in all a great night once again. Roll on Novembers meeting!!

Monsall Head

Last Saturday saw me going on a trip to Monsall Head with my friend Steve Simons. Although we arrived late in the day we managed to get some lovely images. I have to admit that landscape imagery isn’t my strongest point but I think I did quite well.

Manchester Reptile Club 25/09/2011

The 10th meeting of the Manchester Reptile Club saw us at a new venue. This was due to numbers – there was just far too many people coming to facilitate them all comfortably. The new venue, The Fairfield Arms on Manchester Road, was an amazing choice. More room, better layed out and easier to get to for a lot of people. We also decided to introduce the new comittee, which I am proud to say, am part of.

Anyhows, less of the gabbing, heres the pics.

Pet Night @ Ians Studio.

Recently, I saw a post on Ians Studio regarding a pet photo night he was hosting. Being an avid animal lover, I decided to sign up myself and a friend (Steve from 2 Crows Photography) as well as bring along a couple of my animals. When Ian found out we was planning on bringing reptiles, including a snake he decided to get a model in as well, combining the best of both worlds – pretty models and gorgeous animals. Rachael also offered to do a lingerie session with the snake, who were we to object? Heres the best of the images I managed to get. Big thanks go to Ian for the studio time and to Rachael for modelling.

MRC 21/08/2011

Not long got back from what I can happily say was one of the best nights at the Manchester Reptile Club in a while. The night was centered round mammals instead of reptiles but not your average cat, dog, rabbits etc. Tonight was focused around exotic mammals. And boy, what a turnout we got!! Big thanks goes out to Sally Bet & co for bringing along some amazing animals including a fox, an anteater and the worlds most hyperactive kinkajou! Big thanks also go out to all the others who brought their exotic mammals, we had some stunning creatures as well as loads of interaction. Some people also brought some reps as well but, understandedly, all the focus was outside with the mammals. Apologies go out to them, would love to have been able to get more photos but I can’t be in 2 places at the same time.
