Recently, I saw a post on Ians Studio regarding a pet photo night he was hosting. Being an avid animal lover, I decided to sign up myself and a friend (Steve from 2 Crows Photography) as well as bring along a couple of my animals. When Ian found out we was planning on bringing reptiles, including a snake he decided to get a model in as well, combining the best of both worlds – pretty models and gorgeous animals. Rachael also offered to do a lingerie session with the snake, who were we to object? Heres the best of the images I managed to get. Big thanks go to Ian for the studio time and to Rachael for modelling.

Not long got back from what I can happily say was one of the best nights at the Manchester Reptile Club in a while. The night was centered round mammals instead of reptiles but not your average cat, dog, rabbits etc. Tonight was focused around exotic mammals. And boy, what a turnout we got!! Big thanks goes out to Sally Bet & co for bringing along some amazing animals including a fox, an anteater and the worlds most hyperactive kinkajou! Big thanks also go out to all the others who brought their exotic mammals, we had some stunning creatures as well as loads of interaction. Some people also brought some reps as well but, understandedly, all the focus was outside with the mammals. Apologies go out to them, would love to have been able to get more photos but I can’t be in 2 places at the same time.
MRC 31st August 2011
The monthly meet of the Manchester Reptile Club took place on 31st July. The 8th meet also saw a big competition take place called “The Herpies” (reptile keeping is also known as herptology). As well as judging the invertebrates section I walked away with best reptile over 2 years for my little Loki, a male crested gecko. We had an overwhelming head count and the room was hot as hell due to so many people. All I can say is thank god for the beer garden out back.
We also have to say thank you to Chris, who does SO MUCH for the club, the amount of organising he does is phenominal. Also thanks to Stockport Pet Warehouse for the generous prize donations. Its getting to the state where we’ll need to hire a van to take your gifts to the club!!
Also, my friend Steve Simons from 2 Crows Photography was taking photos of the night too. You may wish to visit his website to see what he’s taken.
Anyhows, heres some photos from the night. So many gorgeous animals, plus I think I’ve fallen in love with OBY. See if you can spot her and comment on how she got her name.

I wasn’t actually planning on putting these up as I was all pooched out from my week in the studio and my good friend Steve from 2 Crows Photography was busy snapping away at the night when I arrived. I managed to grab a few frames but nowhere near the amount I normally get. Anyhows, as said, I wasn’t going to put these up but Becky from the facebook page was asking so I siad I would…
Anyhoos…. here you go Becky.
Hatchlings!!
One of my other pasttimes apart from photography, throwing myself off my mountain bike and playing with computers is keeping reptiles. To date I have 9 leopard geckos, 2 crested geckos and a corn snake. Well today we had another 2 arrive…. via egg. These 2 beautiful leopard geckos hatched today, one this morning around 10:00am and one around 2:30pm. Parents were male mack snow and female high yellow carrot tail.
A week in the studio.
The week in the studio in Ashton Under Lyne was a resounding success, had several clients come in to get photos done and also met a young lady who I have a feeling would go far if she decided to pursue modelling. I’ll be looking into booking the studio again but this time for only a couple of days. If you are interested in booking time with me in the studio then let me know.
I’m also available for location shoots and home visits (depending on size of rooms available) so if you are looking at getting any portraits done then contact me and we’ll take it forward from there.
I’ll be adding images from the studio sessions to my gallery in the near future.

As well as appearing on TV the previous Friday, we had some special guests along from Falconry Life. Some amazing birds of prey were on show. Also one of the biggest turn-out to date. Gallery is quite big this time.
See, told you there were lots of pics!!
